হোটেল ভ্যালি গার্ডেন, সিলেটে জাতীয় ক্ষুদ্র ও কুটির শিল্প সমিতি, বাংলাদেশ (নাসিব) ও আন্তর্জাতিক শ্রম সংস্থা (আইএলও) এর প্রোগ্রেস প্রকল্পের সহযোগিতায় Consultation Dialogue on “Entrepreneurial landscapes and scopes in the era of Smart Bangladesh” শীর্ষক একটি কর্মশালা ও প্যানেল আলোচনা অনুষ্ঠান অনুষ্ঠিত হয়। অতি ক্ষুদ্র, ক্ষুদ্র, মাঝারি ও কুটির শিল্প প্রতিষ্ঠান (সিএমএসএমই) ক্ষমতায়ন এবং এর অর্থনৈতিক প্রবৃদ্ধি বৃদ্ধি করার লক্ষ্যে উদ্যোক্তাদের জন্য সুষম পরিবেশ ও ক্ষেত্র সৃষ্টি সম্পর্কিত বিভিন্ন বিষয় নিয়ে আলোচনা করা হয়।
স্মার্ট বাংলাদেশ ২০৪১ এমন একটি ভবিষ্যতের পরিকল্পনা যার সাথে উদ্ভাবন এবং প্রযুক্তি একে অপরের সাথে সম্পৃক্ত। যেখানে ৫জি ইন্টারনেটের ব্যবহার এবং ক্যাশলেস লেনদেনের পরিবেশ তৈরিসহ প্রতিটি নাগরিক এবং ব্যবসায়ীদের আরও সচেতন হওয়া প্রয়োজন। নাসিব এবং আইএলও এই দৃষ্টিভঙ্গি বাস্তবায়নে সচেতনতা বাড়ানো উদ্দেশ্যে যৌথভাবে কাজ করে যাচ্ছে।
এছাড়াও উদ্যোক্তাদের স্মার্ট বাংলাদেশ সম্পর্কিত বিভিন্ন সুযোগ সৃষ্টি ও চ্যালেঞ্জ সম্পর্কে অবহিত করা হয়। সিলেট বিভাগে আইসিটি সেবা, কৃষি প্রক্রিয়াজাতকরণ, সেবাযত্ন এবং পর্যটন খাতের মতো খাতগুলির সুযোগ বৃদ্ধিরও আলোচনা হয়। যেখানে নারী ও যুবাদের কর্মসংস্থানের সুযোগ সৃষ্টি এবং উদ্যোক্তা সৃষ্টিকে উৎসাহিত করতে নানামুখী পদক্ষেপ গ্রহণ জরুরী বিষয়ক আলোচনা করা হয়। অনুষ্ঠানে কি-নোট উপস্থাপনের মাধ্যমে জনাব রুমান ইশতিয়াক রাফিন (কনসালটেন্ট, এন্টারপ্রাইজ ডেভেলপমেন্ট), নাসিব "CMSMEs এর জন্য স্মার্ট বাংলাদেশের যুগে বর্তমান উদ্যোক্তার প্রতিবন্ধকা ও সুযোগ" আলোচনা করেন। এছাড়াও অনুষ্ঠানে পাঁচজন প্যানেলিস্ট মুক্ত আলোচনা অনুষ্ঠানে উদ্যোক্তাদের বিভিন্ন বিষয়ে আলোচনা করেন।
অনুষ্ঠানে প্রধান অতিথি হিসেবে উপস্থিত ছিলেন জনাব দেবজিৎ সিংহ, বিভাগীয় কমিশনার (ভারপ্রাপ্ত), সিলেট বিভাগ। বিশেষ অতিথি হিসেবে উপস্থিত ছিলেন আইএলও'র প্রোগ্রেস প্রকল্পের সিটিএ জনাব পেড্রো জুনিয়র বেলেন। অনুষ্ঠানটির সভাপতিত্ব করেন জনাব আলীমুল এহছান চৌধুরী, সভাপতি, নাসিব সিলেট জেলা শাখা।
প্যানেল আলোচনায় উপস্থিত ছিলেন জনাব তাহমিন আহমেদ, সভাপতি, সিলেট চেম্বার অব কমার্স এন্ড ইন্ডাস্ট্রিজ। জনাব শরনালতা রায়, সভাপতি,সিলেট উইমেন চেম্বার অব কমার্স, জনাব আলীমুল এহছান চৌধুরী, সভাপতি, নাসিব সিলেট জেলা শাখা। জনাব এম সুহেল হাওলাদার, মহাব্যবস্থাপক, বাংলাদেশ ক্ষুদ্র ও কুটির শিল্প কর্পোরেশন (বিসিক) এবং বাংলাদেশ ব্যাংক সিলেট শাখার যুগ্ম পরিচালক, এসএমই ও এসপিডি বিভাগ জনাব শিতাংশু শেখর রায়। অনুষ্ঠানটির প্যানেল আলোচনা মডারেট করেন জনাব রুমান ইশতিয়াক রাফিন (কনসালটেন্ট, এন্টারপ্রাইজ ডেভেলপমেন্ট), নাসিব।
আরও উপস্থিত ছিলেন নাসিব সিলেট জেলা শাখার সাধারণ সদস্য এবং বিভিন্ন সরকারি ও বেসরকারি প্রতিষ্ঠানের কর্মকর্তা, উন্নয়ন সংস্থা এবং সুশীল সমাজের প্রতিনিধি, নারী-নেতৃত্বাধীন উদ্যোক্তা, আর্থিক প্রতিষ্ঠানের প্রতিনিধি, এনজিও/আইএনজিও, ট্রেড ইউনিয়ন, নিয়োগকর্তা ও শ্রমিকদের প্রতিনিধি, এবং বিভিন্ন সেক্টরের স্টেকহোল্ডাররা ।
March 05, 2024, at Hotel Valley Garden in Sylhet – The National Association of Small & Cottage Industries of Bangladesh (NASCIB), in collaboration with Promoting Gender Responsive Enterprise Development and TVET Systems (ProGRESS) project, ILO Bangladesh are thrilled to their collaboration on a significant initiative aimed at shaping the Consultation Dialogue on Entrepreneurial landscapes and scopes in the era of Smart Bangladesh to empower Cottage, Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (CMSMEs) and drive sustainable economic growth.
In a rapidly evolving technological landscape, Smart Bangladesh Vision 2041 heralds a future where innovation and inclusivity intersect. Beyond the realms of 5G internet and cashless transactions, Smart Bangladesh is about fostering an ecosystem where every citizen and business can thrive. NASCIB and ILO recognize the pivotal role of entrepreneurship in realizing this vision and are dedicated to providing the necessary support and resources to entrepreneurs across Bangladesh.
The event feature was panel discussions, interactive sessions, and workshops designed to provide entrepreneurs with insights into the opportunities and challenges presented by Smart Bangladesh. By bringing together industry experts, policymakers, and entrepreneurs, NASCIB and ILO aim to foster an environment conducive to the growth and success of CMSMEs in the digital age. Also by focusing on sectors such as ICT Service, Agro-Processing, Care Work, and Tourism sectors in Sylhet Division, NASCIB and ILO aim to create employment opportunities and foster entrepreneurship, particularly among women and youth.
The event Chief Guest was Debojit Singha, Divisional Commissioner (Acting), Sylhet Division. Mr. Pedro Jr. Belen, CTA, ProGRESS Project, ILO, was present as a special guest. Mr. Alimul Ahsan Chowdhury, President, NASCIB Sylhet District, was the chair of the event. Mr. Ruman Ishtiak Rafeen, Consultant (Enterprise Development), NASCIB, delivered the keynote presentation titled "Exploring the Current and Future Entrepreneurial Opportunities within Smart Bangladesh for CMSMEs." In the event five panelist was Discuss the topic of Unlocking Opportunities on Entrepreneurship Amidst SMART Bangladesh.
In Panel Discussion Mr. Tahmin Ahmed, President, Sylhet Chamber of Commerce and Industries. Ms. Sharnalata Roy, President, Sylhet Women Chamber of Commerce and Industries. Mr. Alimul Ahsan Chowdhury, President, NASCIB Sylhet District. Mr. M. suhel Hawladar, General Manager, Bangladesh Small and Cottage Industries Corporation (BSCIC) and Mr. Shitangshu Shekhar Roy, Joint Director, SME & SPD Department, Bangladesh Bank, Sylhet participated as the panelist. Mr. Ruman Ishtiak Rafeen (Consultant, Enterprise Development), NASCIB moderated the panel discussion.
In the events members of NASCIB Sylhet District branch and representatives of government bodies, private enterprises, development organizations, and civil society, women-led entrepreneurs, representatives from financial institutions, NGOs/INGOs, trade unions, employers' and workers' representatives, and stakeholders from various sectors was joined.
